Counseling and Mental Health Services

USC Student Health offers students on both campuses Counseling and Mental Health Services at both the Engemann and Eric Cohen student health centers. Licensed clinical professionals are available by appointment for individual counseling, group programs, and campus postventions.

Mental Health Assistance and Response Team

Mental Health Assistance and Response Team (MHART) helps students meet with a certified, licensed mental health professional from USC Student Health, also clinical faculty in the Department of Psychiatry in the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Counselors will accompany DPS officers during a mental health emergency and, in appropriate cases, lead the response team and speak to the student first.

Religious and Spiritual Counseling

The Office of Religious & Spiritual Life sponsors campus programs with a moral, religious, or spiritual focus, and it cosponsors events with other university units and partnerships of student religious groups. The office serves as a base for students who seek faith-based guidance and fellowship.

Sexual Assault Resources and Support

Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention and Services in USC Student Health provides crisis intervention and supportive services for situations related to gender-and power-based harm (e.g., sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking).

USC Support and Advocacy

Campus Support & Intervention is a team of professionals available to assist students, faculty, and staff in navigating a wide range of complex issues.

Reporting a Concern

If you believe a fellow student is in distress or danger, the Trojans Care for Trojans program provides an entry point for anonymous reporting of concern and offers connections to institutional support and resources for students coping with difficult personal situations.
